Languages other than English

All students from grade K onwards will be enrolled in one other language (other than English) except if a child is a beginner in English, in which case he/she will be placed in an Intensive English program for additional support. All students grade K-8, are required to take Slovene Language. In addition, all students from grade 2 onwards will be enrolled in one other language (other than English) except if a child is a beginner in English, in which case he/she will be placed in an English as an Additional Language program for additional support. At LIS, we currently offer both German and Spanish as introductory through advanced level. We also offer Fench, but only for certain grade levels and only at a high intermediate to advanced level. Please note, languages other than English are not offered at a native level.
