After School Activities at Ljubljana International School

Dear Parents,
We are excited to share the weekly schedule for After School Activities at our Ljubljana International School Selanova Campus for the first part of the new school year.
- The Activities will start from September 9th 2024.
- From August 26th until September 6th 2024, we will be offering only Day Care from 14:30-17:00 for the price of 16 EUR per day.
- This is a provisional timetable for Afterschool Activities and may be subject to minor changes if necessary.
- Day Care services will start after the Afterschool Activities clubs have concluded. Please note that students must join the Afterschool Activities before they can access Day Care services.

Minecraft Club
The Minecraft Education Club uses Minecraft to make learning fun and exciting. Kids can explore cool places from history and work together on fun challenges. It’s a great way to play and learn at the same time!
Languages
The Spanish Club helps kids learn Spanish in a fun way after school. They practice talking, learning new words, and grammar through games, songs, and stories. Kids also learn about the traditions, history, and customs of Spanish-speaking countries. By listening, speaking, reading, and writing in Spanish, they build strong language skills that can help them in school and in the future.
Robotics
The Robotics Club teaches kids the basics of programming in a fun way. Led by Zavod 1-2-3, an outside school company with professionals in this area, the workshops include lots of different activities that help children learn about science, technology, programming, and math. They also practice talking and working together. Kids learn how different parts work, why they move or stop working, and how to fix problems. They start with Spike Prime and then use Mindstorms to build and program robots. For more advanced projects, they use the StoryStarter program to create stories with LEGO®.
Rackethlon
The Rackethlon Club is a fun program where kids improve their racket skills by playing badminton, tennis, speedminton, ping pong, and squash. Led by experienced coaches from Hannah Tennis Sport Club, kids will develop agility, hand-eye coordination, and strategic thinking as they play different racket sports. The club focuses on improving skills and good sportsmanship, giving kids the chance to excel in many sports while enjoying exciting, fast-paced games.
Football
The Football Club is a fun program where kids can learn and improve their soccer skills. Led by a outside football coach, kids will practice dribbling, passing, shooting, and teamwork. The club focuses on skill improvement and good sportsmanship, helping kids develop agility, coordination, and strategic thinking.
Herbology 101
The Herbology 101 Club is a fun after-school program where kids explore the amazing world of herbs. They will learn about different herbs, like basil and mint, and discover interesting facts about them. For example, cilantro helps remove toxins from the body, and chamomile can help with relaxation and sleep. Kids will find out how to use these herbs in recipes, make herbal teas and create herb-infused oils and more.
Basketball
The Basketball Club is a fun program just for MYP students who want to improve their basketball skills. Students will practice dribbling, shooting, passing, and teamwork. The club focuses on skill development, game strategies, and sportsmanship. It’s a great way to stay active and enjoy playing basketball.
Care
During After School Care, students will have time to play games, draw, or watch their favorite cartoons while they wait to be picked up by their parents. It’s a fun and safe place to relax and enjoy different activities with friends.
