Ms. Ana’s High School Technology Class

March 31, 2023

| High School News

As technology becomes increasingly integrated into our daily lives, digital presentation skills have become essential. Whether it’s for work, school, or personal projects, the ability to effectively communicate information through digital media is crucial. That’s why teaching digital presentation skills in technology classes is more important than ever.

Digital presentation skills involve using software and tools to create and deliver multimedia content such as slideshows, videos, and animations. These skills are not only essential for students who plan to pursue careers in technology but also for those in various other fields. A well-designed digital presentation can make a significant impact on the audience and convey complex information in an engaging and accessible way.

Another important aspect of digital presentation skills is delivery. Students should learn how to speak confidently and clearly when presenting their content, as well as how to engage with their audience and respond to questions. They should also learn how to use presentation tools such as a remote control or pointer, and how to troubleshoot common technical issues.

Teaching digital presentation skills in technology class is essential for preparing students for the demands of the modern workplace. By providing hands-on training in software and design, as well as delivery techniques, teachers can help students develop the skills they need to create engaging and impactful presentations.

To help students develop these skills, they were given a hands-on training through classroom project. Students worked in groups to create digital media material about Ljubljana International School, with each group member responsible for a different aspect of the project. This approach allowed students to learn from each other and build their skills collaboratively. Students from 9-10th grade also had a lot of fun doing it.
