Helena believes that curiosity is the path to learning. It was Ken Robinson who said: ”Curiosity is the engine of achievement.”
According to Helena, teachers need to nurture and develop children’s curiosity in all stages of life.
She has over thirty years of teaching experience, including a number of students from pre-K through seventh grade in International schools. Helena loves to teach in the PreK and Kindergarten classrooms, reflecting her primary educational training, but she also enjoys working with students from second grade through eighth grade as they explore Slovene Culture. Helena carries has earned a BS degree in social work from the University of Ljubljana, and is additionally certified as a PreK and K teacher and social worker.
In her free time, Helena enjoys walking, swimming, cycling, reading. and exploring new activities with her teenage daughter.
