As a Physical Education teacher Ovidiu Popa believes that we have to provide opportunities for the students to learn about movement, strategies, teamwork, problem-solving and health related fitness as well. He is dedicated to help students become the best versions of themselves and they will also learn social and networking skills, such as collaboration, teamwork and creativity. All these will help create an enjoyable and safe atmosphere, where all students grow in self-confidence and focus on their well-being.
Before joining LIS, Ovidiu taught in international schools in Kuwait where he was head of the PE department for 14 years. He has a great knowledge of a variety of sports and activities, he successfully managed large sport events, organizing Sports Days and sports tournaments.
Ovidiu has a BA in Physical Education and Sports, a post graduate certificate in teaching PE, a black belt in Shotokan Fudokan and a handball coach certificate.
In his free time, Ovidiu likes hiking with his family and friends, biking and enjoying nature.
