Our after-school activities are designed to provide students with opportunities to explore new interests, develop existing talents, and engage in constructive play. We believe in fostering a holistic learning experience that extends beyond the classroom, promoting physical activity, teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving skills in a safe and encouraging environment.

Our after-school program offers a wide range of activities for various age groups, catering to different interests and fostering diverse skills.

Activities at Rakovniska ulica 5

  • Judo (Grades: G1–G2) – This year in the Judo Club, students will improve their skills and gain real-world competition experience. Guided by expert instructors from Judo Club Bežigrad, children will learn in a safe, supportive environment. They'll also begin training in a gi (judo uniform), helping them feel like true athletes as they begin their journey in the sport.

  • Robotics (Grades: G1–G2) – In partnership with Zavod 1,2,3, this activity introduces students to the world of programming through LEGO-based projects. Children will build creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills while creating exciting robotic inventions. It's the perfect introduction to technology through play.

  • Swimming (Grades: PK–G2, Start: November) – Swimming classes with ASA take place at Atlantis. Students will be transported by van and picked up after lessons. Swimming helps build water confidence, improve technique, and support physical development—all in a safe, fun environment.

  • Skiing at Krvavec (Grades: PK–G2, Start: February) – After-school skiing begins in February! Children will eat lunch at school before being transported by van to the slopes at Krvavec. The return drop-off is in Ljubljana. This flexible program runs weekly, with groups based on interest and skill level: Mondays for Advanced skiers and Thursdays for Beginners. Sign up for as few or as many sessions as you'd like. It’s a great way to stay active, develop skiing skills, and enjoy the outdoors with friends—no pressure!

  • Tiny Riders Club – Beginner Bike Program (Start: September) – This playful program is for young children just starting to ride. Sessions move from balance bikes to real bikes in a fun and safe environment. Children will: Learn to balance on balance bikes, progress to pedaling real bikes (rental bikes available), navigate mini obstacle courses, and play bike games to build confidence. A perfect start to their biking journey!

  • The Maker Lab – Science & Craft Club (Grades: PK–G2) – A hands-on club that blends science with crafting! Each week brings new experiments, inventions, and creative challenges. Kids will: Explore simple science projects and engineering tasks, build and invent with everyday materials, work creatively and collaboratively, and mix curiosity and fun in every session. Perfect for children who love to explore, build, and discover!

  • Ukrainian Language Lessons – Learn Through Play (Grades: PK–G2) – These sessions begin once at least four children enroll. Kids will learn basic Ukrainian through interactive, play-based learning. They will: Understand and speak simple Ukrainian, learn through songs, games, and storytelling, discover Ukrainian culture in a fun way, and build language skills in a relaxed atmosphere.

  • AcroKids (Start: September) – AcroKids introduces gymnastics and movement in a fun, supportive setting. No experience needed! Children will: Practice rolls, handstands, cartwheels, and bridges, improve strength, balance, and coordination, join group challenges and partner work, and gain body awareness and confidence. A fun way to move, stretch, and build skills!

  • Rescue Rangers – Skills, Safety & Adventure Club (Grades: G1–G2) – This exciting club blends adventure, safety, and practical skills. Kids will explore first aid, teamwork, and outdoor fun! They will: Learn basic first aid and fire safety, join obstacle courses and team-building games, build simple shelters and learn emergency response, and become confident helpers in everyday situations. Perfect for young explorers ready for action!

  • Motion Maker – Dance & Expression (Grades: PK–G2) – This club is pure motion—blending dance, rhythm, and emotion into expressive movement. Through choreography and creative storytelling, children will: Explore rhythm and flow, build coordination and body control, gain confidence through performance, and experience dance as a form of personal expression.

  • Girl Scouts (Grades: K–G2) – Girl Scouts builds courage, confidence, and character through fun, hands-on activities. Girls participate in: Leadership development, skill-building and community service, camping, badges, and more. For more information, visit the Girl Scouts website.

  • Breathe & Balance – Little Yogis Club – Children discover mindfulness, breathing, and movement through yoga. This gentle and joyful club helps them unwind after the school day. They will: Practice yoga through stories, games, and poses, learn breathing techniques for focus and calm, improve balance, strength, and flexibility, and build emotional awareness and body confidence. Each session blends movement and stillness in a playful, age-appropriate way.

  • Flag Football (Grades: G5 and up) – This non-contact version of football focuses on agility, teamwork, and strategy. No experience needed! Kids will: Learn to pass, catch, and pull flags, build coordination through drills and games, play friendly matches, and gain sportsmanship and teamwork skills. Held twice weekly for maximum fun and improvement.

  • RoboLab – Robotics & Programming Club – Kids dive into robotics and coding with hands-on, beginner-friendly kits like LEGO® Robotics. In RoboLab, children will: Learn visual coding and basic programming logic, build and test functional robots, solve challenges and improve critical thinking, and work in teams to explore technology. Perfect for curious minds who love to tinker and create!

  • Minecraft Club – Using Minecraft Education, this club brings learning to life through fun and interactive play. Children will: Explore historical settings, complete creative team challenges, develop collaboration and planning skills, and learn through building and storytelling. It’s play with a purpose!

  • Tennis in Motion – Play, Learn, Compete – A tennis program for all levels, with two tracks: 🎾 Foundations Group – Learn basics, technique, and footwork; 🔥 Performance Group – Advanced drills, match strategy, and competition. Whether starting out or playing competitively, children will grow their skills and confidence on the court.

  • Volleyball – This energetic program teaches fundamental volleyball skills and team play in a dynamic environment. Kids will: Learn serving, passing, and setting, develop teamwork and communication, play practice games and real matches, and stay active and engaged through the sport. It’s all about movement, fun, and working together!
